Professional Development Opportunity for Petroleum Engineers and Geologists!
The SPE Central Iraq Section is pleased to announce an upcoming specialized training course titled “Production Logging Interpretation using Emeraude Software“ as part of our annual activity plan. This event will be hosted at Al Farabi University College in Baghdad for the period 21–24/12/2024 and conducted in collaboration with KPPA Engineering, a leading French company specializing in software solutions for dynamic data analysis in the oil industry.
Course Programme Highlights:
- Basic Theory:
- In-depth understanding of sensors, measurements, their accuracy, applications, and resolution.
- Key concepts such as spinner calibration, hold-up, slippage, and essential PL principles.
- Basic PVT and flow correlations with insights into two-phase and three-phase modeling.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC):
- Techniques for assessing data quality and selecting the best passes.
- Editing and comparing data with simulations.
- Practical QA/QC tips for sensor optimization and programming a successful PL job.
- Practical Training:
- Hands-on exercises using advanced cased-hole software (Emeraude).
- Live demonstration of interpretation methods, ensuring participants gain working knowledge and confidence in real-world applications.
